What is Polyethylene Wax
Polyethylene Wax is derived from ethylene gas in refinery through a process called polymerization. Polyethylene wax has many physical and chemical characteristics that make it suitable for a wide range of industrial and human applications. These characteristics are unique cause it has some characters of plastic and some of wax. Bendable white color hard to break like plastic and oily like wax.
How to produce Polyethylene Wax
Ethylene gas is the product of refineries, when it is polymerized, the outcome will be polyethylene, at the beginning of process we will have wax type of this product and when polymerization will be repeated, low molecular polyethylene will be appeared, by de moisturizing and de oiling and finally adding some additives new grades of this product with higher molecule weights will be produced.
Usage of PE wax
Plastic additives, candles, cosmetics and rubber, packaging, lubricants, wood, coating, textile, printing ink, leather, crayon, and cosmetic are most usage of PE Wax.
a. Polyethylene wax is linear and crystalline. This product can has applications such as blends, plastic additives and rubber manufacture
b. Due to its high crystalline nature, PE wax has unique features such as hardness at high temperatures and low solubility in a wide range of solvents.
c. The material is a thermoplastic, melt at 110°C. An interesting feature of these materials is the ability to be heated and cooled without extensive degradation which is good to make dishes which will be filled with hot water, tea, or food.
d. Polyethylene wax also features limited poly disparity and molecular weight. The material is highly resistant to chemical attacks, has unmatched heat stability and is very flexible in formulating applications like plastic balls, shoes, candles jars, toys.
High softening point, High chemical resistance, High melting point, excellent thermal stability, Perfect head resistance are high important issues in this product.
General Appearance of PE wax
Polyethylene wax is like plastic sheets. It is a semi-translucent yellow material. It has a gloss surface. If you cut the material, there are neither impurities nor any separation in this material.
PE wax is brittle and fragile.
If you want to test the material, consider boiling it in water for five minutes. Real PE wax does not change in shape. If the wax contains paraffin or any other impurity, you will know it through shape change.
High density polyethylene HDPE & Low-density polyethylene LDPE
Polyethylene wax can be either low density polyethylene (LDPE) or high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Generally, HDPE tends to be denser and more crystalline, so you could distinguish the two if you have a way of determining these properties
USAGE of PE wax IN OTHER INDUSTRIES
polyethylene wax is heat-stable, lowly soluble, chemically resistant, and hard. Combining these features with abrasion resistance and broad melting points makes the material the undisputable choice for a wide range of industrial applications. Whether you want to process rubber, manufacture textiles, modifier plastic or coat corrugated board, there is a grade available. As manufacturers may have different grades of the material, please ask so that you can be directed to the one that matches your needs.
Polyethylene WAX packing details
Due to the solidness of both grades of Polyethylene wax the most common packing is bags even 25 kg or 1000 kg jumbo bags in loose or on pallets.
1.Sample of polyethylene wax : Fortunately, this is solid material and sending sample will be easier by the couriers, we are ready to send sample all over the world 2. Price of polyethylene wax : Raw material of PE wax is product of refineries, so its price is quite related to oil price. Base oil is the main basic of ethylene.Specification data sheet and analysis of polyethene wax
